Self Esteem & Confidence

Self esteem and confidence issues affect many people at some stage in their lives.

Your self esteem is your opinion of yourself. High self esteem means a good opinion of yourself and belief in yourself.

Your self esteem depends on many questions, including these:

* How do you see yourself (your self image)?
* Do you believe you are successful?
* How do you feel about strengths and weaknesses?
* What do you think of your social status?
* How do you relate to others?
* Can you make your own decisions?

I believe that confidence and self-esteem should be addressed in the school curriculum. Some people may find it hard to practice these skills perhaps some of us were never even taught how.

Recently many people are suffering from low confidence and stress which can dampen our self esteem. Due to the current economic problems problem there have been people who are struggling to cope or measure up to the aggressive demands placed on them.
